Masterlink Logistics is one of Ireland’s leading Supply Chain and Logistics Service Providers, specialising in many business. Operating one of the largest independently-owned fleets in the country, we are now seeking 2 Key Account, Sales, and Business Development Managers, one in Dublin, and one in Cork with a passion and instinct for generating new business and mining our large customer base around Ireland, along with business relationship management across an assigned number of accounts.

Our growth plan is aggressive, and we will achieve this by growing turnover, standardisation across systems and processes, defining ownership of key accounts and mergers and acquisitions.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will operate specifically in the Distribution pillar of our business, to a diverse range of industries in Ireland. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, the role entails;

  • Playing a part in the BD team in identifying any capacity that arises to develop and maintain a suitably robust pipeline of new opportunities
  • Target specific markets and identify opportunities
  • Preparing new sales quotations
  • Ongoing review of existing customer base to review business mix
  • Strategic Management of existing accounts
  • Maintaining high-level relationships with senior decision makers
  • Account development and vertical selling with existing accounts
  • Protecting existing business with key customers
  • Point of escalation with assigned customers, where required

In this role, you will work closely within the Business Development team and will work with functional stakeholders within the business, across Operations and IT.

  • You must have prior success selling services at management level to business.
  • Experienced at creating, generating, and closing new business.
  • Be able to work independently without supervision.
  • A reliable and trustworthy professional, committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability, focused on achieving agreed goals and exceeding expectations.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with staff, customers and the wider operations team.
